FAQs

Trip Planning

The best time to visit Egypt is between October and April, when temperatures are mild and comfortable for sightseeing. The peak months are November, February, and March — ideal for exploring the Pyramids of Giza, Luxor temples, and cruising the Nile. Summer (June–August) is the cheapest season but can reach 40°C in Upper Egypt.

Most nationalities can obtain a tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports for $25 USD, or apply in advance through the official e-Visa portal. Citizens of the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia are eligible for e-Visa. We recommend applying online before travel to save time at the airport. Contact us if you need guidance on visa requirements for your nationality.

We recommend a minimum of 7–10 days to experience Egypt's highlights: Cairo and the Pyramids (2–3 days), a Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan (4 days), and the Red Sea coast (2–3 days). For a deeper experience including Abu Simbel, Alexandria, or the White Desert, 12–14 days is ideal. All our Egypt tour packages are customizable to fit your schedule.

Yes, Egypt is safe for tourists in 2025 and 2026. Major tourist destinations including Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada, and Sharm El Sheikh have strong security measures in place. Millions of international visitors travel safely to Egypt each year. Our private tours include licensed, English-speaking guides and fully insured vehicles for your peace of mind.

Nile Cruises

Our Nile Cruise packages include full-board accommodation on board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), guided tours to temples and monuments in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan, airport transfers, and an English-speaking Egyptologist guide. Optional add-ons include a hot air balloon over Luxor, an Abu Simbel excursion, and a felucca ride in Aswan.

Standard Nile Cruises (5-star) offer comfortable cabins, all meals, and guided excursions at great value. Deluxe Nile Cruises feature upgraded cabins, premium dining, and enhanced amenities. Luxury Nile Cruises provide spacious suites, butler service, gourmet cuisine, and exclusive excursions. We also offer Dahabiya cruises — traditional wooden sailboats for a more intimate, slow-paced experience for small groups.

A standard Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan (or vice versa) takes 4 nights and 5 days, stopping at the temples of Karnak, Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Philae in Aswan. Extended 7-night cruises are also available. Most of our Egypt holiday packages combine a Nile Cruise with 2–3 days in Cairo.

Destinations & Sights

Egypt's top attractions include the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx in Cairo, the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple in Luxor, Philae Temple and Abu Simbel in Aswan, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, and the coral reefs of the Red Sea in Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Our tour packages are designed to cover all major highlights efficiently.

From Luxor, popular day trips include the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank, Karnak and Luxor temples on the East Bank, a hot air balloon ride at sunrise, and day trips to Dendera or Abydos temples. We offer private Luxor day tours with licensed Egyptologist guides and comfortable transport.

Culture & Practicalities

Egypt is a predominantly Muslim country, so modest dress is recommended, especially when visiting mosques, temples, and local markets. Lightweight, loose-fitting clothes that cover shoulders and knees are ideal. Comfortable walking shoes are essential for temple and site visits. At Red Sea resorts, normal beachwear is perfectly acceptable within the resort.

The official currency is the Egyptian Pound (EGP). Major hotels, restaurants, and tour operators accept USD, EUR, and credit cards. We recommend bringing some local currency for tips, local markets, and small purchases. ATMs are widely available in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Red Sea resorts. Our tour prices can be paid in USD or EUR by card or bank transfer.
